CRAIGOWAN GARDEN

'A Hidden Gem in the Highlands of Perthshire'

Craigowan Garden is a five acre private garden open to the public for charity by appointment. This family garden has been developed over the past 35 years by Ian and Christine, and more recently by their son Simon. The garden hosts an extensive collection of species Rhododendron, very rare hybrids, and a host of ornamental trees. These are shown off in formal beds with meconopsis, trilliums, cardiocrinum and other perenials. Also in the woodland areas they find a more natural setting amoungst native oaks and wild flowers.

At five hundred feet, five miles south of Pitlochry, we have wonderful stolen landscapes of the the Tummel and Tay glens to show off the plants in their full glory.

The flowering season starts in February through to July, with the peak hitting Late April through May depending on frosts each year and the harshness of winter.
